knit 1, doctors x 2

I finally got the baby sweater finished and blocked. I decided to use some purple buttons on this set and now that its finished… I like it a little more than when I had started… the color still isn’t my favorite… but it isn’t so bad now that it is not in pieces.
I had 2, yes TWO, doctor appointments on Monday. I got some rad new contact lenses (plus a free pair of clear ones!), and 2 types of allergy meds (Zyrtec and Nasonex, can’t you just hear Antonio Bandaras saying that in his sexy little accent?), I guess he thought one wasn’t sufficant enough! lol He had given me Zyrtec before and it always worked well in the past only this time he told me to take it at bedtime… last night I did just that and all day today I am in a zombie like state. I don’t want to move, I don’t want to even walk to the bathroom.. all I want to do is curl up in bed and sleep for a week. SERIOUSLY! That’s how this medicine made me feel! I don’t ever remember Zyrtec making me so sleepy before… did they change the ingredients or something!? It’s a bit too soon to see how well Nasonex works for me.. but for the first time this winter I was able to actually smell the candles in my kitchen!
The contact lenses I bought are Elegance Opaques in Light Blue… which I found out are made within the USA but are only sold in Canada.. so to purchase from another country you must shop via the web for them…. if they are made within the USA why aren’t they SOLD in the USA?! If you inquire about them you are told they are the same as Natural Touch, and they are clearly NOT the same. Elegance are hand painted lenses while Natural Touch are not. Elegance has a much more natural looking pupil hole while NT has a thunder bolt effect. The free pair I got are Acuvue Oasis…….. I LOVE THEM! They are so comfortable, I wore them all day and didn’t need drops once! No changes in my prescriptions in the past 2 years at all.. she upped my contact in my left eye to balance them out.. I can now wear the same contact in both eyes *YAY* which means buying boxes of lenses is cheaper because I can use one box for both eyes.
